Dmytro Kryshovski
Dmitro Krishovsky is one of the youngest talents currently on show at Nose Gallery.
The group exhibition titled “Vermeer’s Legacy” is dedicated to the domestic, everyday, simple still life, objects that surrounds us, the calm of the household, the food that we consume.
Selected limited edition prints by Dmytro was a cherie on top of the cake as they explore the importance of the simple foods like potatoes and the eggs, and the power behind them – we can see the heavily worked feet resting on the pile of potatoes – the feed that probably have worked all their lives to extract something that we consider so non-important, and so banal. The faceless figure wearing a folk shirt who is embracing eggs makes us remember the daily workforce that stands behind our everyday needs. With Dmytro’s work we travel back to the countryside, back to the roots.
In the third print of the Ukrainian artist the eggs are slowly turning into Grenades.
Dmytro Krishovsky was rated as one of the top 8 graphic artists of Ukraine, and the artist is only 35.
